Aunty Beverley Eaton
Aunty Bev is an Aboriginal woman whose people come from Coonabarabran. Aunty Bev is a committed and well respected member of the Aboriginal community in the Blue Mountains and beyond and has over 20 years experience working as a family worker and counsellor in the Community Sector. She has worked in both Aboriginal Organisations and mainstream services with a great commitment to the Aboriginal community and is a committee member for the Blue Mountains Aboriginal Culture and Resource Centre at Katoomba. Aunty Bev has worked as an Aboriginal community representative for the Police department, supporting young Aboriginal people. She has also developed and delivered workshops on working with Aboriginal families and community; travelled around NSW running training sessions for community workers and provides cultural and work practice supervision and support services to Aboriginal workers from both Government and community based agencies.
