Families NSW Learning and Development Projects
Families NSW is the NSW Government's prevention and early intervention strategy that helps parents give their children a good start in life.
Families NSW is aimed at connecting parents to local services and to each other for support and at building the capacity of communities and services that support families with children 0-8.
The projects assess local learning and development needs in partnership with local services and networks. Providing training and professional development opportunities to community and children services workers from across the Metro West area.
The project also administers Families NSW Learning & Development Sponsorship and Subsidy Schemes.
The Subsidy Scheme offers financial assistance for services requiring relief staff in order to send essential workers to the project’s learning opportunities.
The Sponsorship Scheme offers financial assistance to services to help pay for the costs of attending relevant training run by other providers and/or to organise targeted training for individual areas and networks.
