Facilitated Forums Project

FamiliesNSW Facilitated Child and Family Forums and Practice Forums

Facilitated Child and Family Forums will be introduced across both Nepean and
Cumberland/Prospect areas.
The forums will provide local agencies and service providers the opportunity to collaborate strategically towards FNSW results.  The forum will also provide an opportunity to disseminate information and coordinate collaborative initiatives that ensure FNSW outcomes for children, families and communities.
The Forums will link NGO services, local government, and government agencies in their commitment to early intervention and prevention.

The Forum model is also effective in enhancing the understanding of the prevention and early intervention evidence base. Facilitated Child and Family Forums, in partnership with Communities Division, will consolidate the integration of FNSW prevention and early intervention principles into the service delivery of local agencies.

FNSW Practice Forums

The Practice Forums will provide FNSW projects and other similar services, the opportunity for round table discussions which reflect on practice in light of experience and available evidence. The FNSW Practice forums are intended to improve practice across similar services and contribute to the planning and delivery of collaborative strategies. These Practice Forums will be co-facilitated with the Communities Division and will encourage whole of government participation.
